The above-cited verse of the Holy Qur’an teaches us certain reviving lessons, including that of faith in the fact that the one who like Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) (AS) truly believes in the Omnipotent, Omnipresent Allah, who never associates anyone or anything with the Divinity of Allah, and who defends the truth with all his/her power and means can rest assured of Allah’s help, guidance and support in whatever way is best for him/her.
These were the conditions of Hazrat Zahra’s (SA) life….She was a help to a husband like the Commander of the Faithful (AS), who was always busy working and doing different activities. That is to say, whenever there was a battle, Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) was the first to go to the battlefield. Whenever there was something important to be done, Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) was a pioneer. They were married to each other for about ten years. During this ten-year period, how much time did this young husband have to take care of his wife and children in the ordinary, human sense of the word? Being patient with that life, being patient with that poverty and hardship, engaging in those great Jihads, raising those children and making the sacrifices that you have heard about all of these things are models to be followed. Our girls should follow Fatima Zahra (SA) as their role model. Similarly our boys should follow Hazrat Zahra (SA) and the Commander of the Faithful as their role models.
Is there room for children in our society? Most of our culture is structured for adults, and children are unwelcome or even excluded. Children spend most of their time in school and school-related activities, where parents are not welcome. When my son and I looked for activities to do together, he was told that he didn't need me, and I was told to be glad for some time alone. That we may be good friends who wanted to enjoy an activity together was never considered.

Q: I am 25, and single. Alhamdullillah, I have been raised in a religious family and so I am fond of my religion - Islam, and desire to be faith-minded in all conditions. All my friends know about my faith and so try to offer me any advice they consider useful and interesting for me, and I appreciate this. But one of them just told me that I have become thisworldly, because I bought a gold necklace for myself. Of course it was not a very expensive one and it has been the only gold ornament I have ever bought myself. I have a paid job and so I can help the needy to some extent. I see nothing wrong in a pious one’s enjoying a little luxury in this world. Am I right? (Leila, India)
To understand the significance of reading, writing, teaching and learning before Allah, The Gracious, suffice it to ponder upon the above-mentioned verses of the Holy Qur’an, Allah’s last Book revealed to His Last Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), for the perfection, happiness and elevation of mankind.
