FAQ Q: A friend of mine is presently engaged in talking to her non-Muslim classmates about Islam and is trying to present and explain the illuminating Islamic teachings to them. Recently they have asked her about Islam’s view on marriage and she has asked me to guide her in this regard by at least citing a Qur’anic verse regarding marriage.(Maryam, USA) A: Dear sister Maryam, may Allah reward both of you. In Chapter 30(Al-Rum), verse 21of the Holy Qur’an, Allah- The Almighty has most beautifully talked about this very significant matter. Your friend can, of course with the help of good friends like you and through surveying authentic Islamic materials prepare a few papers(for her classmates)on certain brilliant aspects of married life, including the love and mercy Allah puts between the couples, as referred to in the above-mentioned verse of the Holy Qur’an. We do believe this way she will, Allah-Willing, succeed in fulfilling her sacred goal of guiding the others to the path of salvation. Q: My cousin who is a 21 year sold university student performs the daily obligatory prayers just in the Holy month of Ramadhan. I am very upset about this manner of hers. Is she right?(Nura, Nigeria) A: She is by no means right (regarding neglecting her prayers). Do advise her to perform her obligatory prayers regularly and attentively to be favoured by Allah. | ||
