 Hoda bin Amer has been involved in the death of many opposition figures of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime; For a while, she herself used to carry out the death sentences. The most dangerous woman in the Middle East, the woman who used to carry out the executions in the regime of Muammar Gaddafi was finally arrested.

According to ISNA, and as reported by the Emirati newspaper of Al-Etihad, Hoda bin Amer, who for 27 years was one of the most important pillars of creating horror and intimidation among Libyan people, and the most important  killer of the Libyan regime was arrested in an area in the west of Tripoli.

Hoda bin Amer was involved in the death of many opposition figures of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime; For a while, she herself used to carry out the death sentences.

She attracted attention when she executed al-Sadiq Hamid al-Shovayhedi- one of Qaddafi's dissidents in 1984. Bin Amer first pushed the execution stool from under the feet of al-Shovayhedi while thousands of Libyan people were watching the scene, but when she noticed that he is still alive, she pulled down the victim's feet like a crazy person in order to be sure of seeing his lifeless body. It is said that after the body of al-Shovayhedi was brought down from the execution site, he was still breathing, but the mercenaries of Muammar Gaddafi suffocated him by forcing a sock full of sand into his mouth at the hospital.

After this event Bin Amer became extremely close to Muammar Gaddafi to the point that even her wedding was organized by Muammar Gaddafi himself. Little by little, Bin Amer became the fear element for the Libyan people and an important instrument in the hands of Muammar Gaddafi to create horror and terror.

She executed so many opponents of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya and in fact she became known as an executer. Among her most horrible actions was the execution of seven students on one single day – these students were opposed to Muammar Gaddafi’s regime.

The notoriety of Bin Amer was to the extent that one of the Libyan revolutionaries made a comment in his television interview, and said: “If we fail in our cause, Hoda bin Amer will execute all of us.”

Bin Amer was able to get hold of many key posts in Libya, the latest of them being the chairwomanship of the National Inspection Organization of Libya. Also in 2008, she was elected as the vice president of Libya’s parliament and as the president of the Libyan parliament in 2009.

Bin Amer was elected as the mayor of the city of Benghazi for two terms, although she had proven to be a real enemy of the people of this city.

She had once declared in her speeches that: "There is no man in the city of Benghazi, and I'm the only man in this city."

Bin Amer was the one who issued the order to shoot to kill the demonstrators who denounced the drawing of caricatures against Prophet Mohammad (AS) by Denmark. In fact, this event prepared the ground for the Libyan Revolution.

She was known as the 'devil incarnate', and led different terrorist activities against those who opposed Muammar Gaddafi’s regime. It is said that she was always carrying a full-automatic pistol, and even her steps raised fear in the hearts of the Libyan people.

Bin Amer was very cruel in executing the opponents of Muammar Gaddafi, and in fact no one could create as much terror and fear as she could in the hearts of the people of Libya.

Bin Amer’s name appeared on the list of the 38 people who were supposed to be prosecuted by the Libyan revolutionaries. Finally, she was caught by the revolutionaries in the city of Tripoli.
