Hatched up for WomenIslamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is a terrorist group which has caught the attention of the world within two recent years. Although many efforts have been organized to unveil this brutal group, some dimensions of the group are still unknown for some. This article deals very succinctly with one of these so-far-unknown aspects: ISIL’s relation with women. This article tries to scrutinize the revealed plots of ISIL for women.

Military Operations

Since ISIL is an armed terrorist group, it needs mainly individuals who are ready to carry out its terrorist operations, in other words it needs an infantry to fight the battles. To do so, ISIL even has recruited western women. For persuading European women to join ISIL army against Syria, ISIL spare no efforts to concoct this belief that women will reach happiness after joining ISIL, because serving a Muslim man who fights for ISIL will send them to the eternal heaven. This duty usually is done by female members of the group who mostly promote their wrong beliefs through cyberspace.

After recruiting such naïve women, ISIL starts to train them. For ISIL military training of the new recruited women is the first priority, hence ISIL has launched a military base, special for women and children, in Aleppo outskirts. What is very interesting in this base is that most women staying in this camp are young and adolescent ones who are not Syrian or even Arab. After completing their necessary trainings, these women will be prepared for conducting terrorist and military operations. They not only take part in relentless combats of ISIL, but also planting bombs and embarking on the suicidal operations is their other duties.

Another terrorist activity of these malevolently trained women is initially identifying ISIL dissidents and then poisoning and assassinating them with food or water. According to confessions of a former member of ISIL, this kind of assassination has been practiced in Turkey and some other regions so far. They are also obliged to assist ISIL mercenaries in stopping and inspecting the innocent residents of the occupied regions. As the members of al-Khansa Brigade, they inspect and harass the people.  Some of these women are tasked with punishing women who do not wear burqa (mandatory garment of women in ISIL territory); they even enforce the religious rules of ISIL (whipping) against the women who violated the ISIL-made norms.

Adultery under Sexual Jihad Excuse!

Another duty of ISIL female members, which has added to its infamy , is adultery, which has become known as sexual jihad (Jihad Al-Nikah) among ISIL members. Sexual jihad is a strange term for people across the world as the ISIL (DAESH) term itself was. ISIL heads, who have become professional in applying media tricks to catch attentions, take the most advantage of sexual instruments to attract the attentions. This group, as explained already, recruits women and then trains them to satisfy its brutal soldiers’ sexual desires. Interestingly, ISIL has recruited several British whores for organizing its shameful sexual jihad program and also for controlling these women.

Dogmatic Social Rules of ISIL for Women

ISIL follows a weird relationship model against women who live in its territory. Since ISIL considers itself as the absolute owner of the oppressed people of such areas, it does dare to issue unreasonable rule. Relying on his sick perception of Islam, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, as the head of this terrorist group, has ordered all girls and women to undergo female genital mutilation, which for him is according to the Prophet  Muhammad (PBUH) orders. This order needs to be fulfilled for all girls in their all occupied regions. It is the same ISIL who brings young and adolescent girls and women to its barracks and forces them to wear long black garments and burqa under the pretext of preventing any illegal relationship between men and women and punishes women who violate this. ISIL also has appointed some mercenaries as the police forces to segregate men from women across the city. ISIL’s police forces inspect women and imprison women who do not wear burqa.  ISIL has considered imprisonment with oppressive condition for women who violate the mandatory rules. Such women are continuously insulted and scorned, are deprived from visiting their relatives and finally most of them are executed for absurd excuses.

Obvious Rape and Slave Trade

ISIL members break all red lines and attack Sunni villages around Mosul to enslave the innocent women and recruit them as their sexual slaves. They call Sunni Muslims living in these regions infidel and apostate in order to be allowed to perform such crimes and justify this brutality with Wahhabi sheikhs’ Fatwa. Moreover, the criminal ISIL forces sold the Christian women in the formal market of the city after having enslaved them. They have been traded as slaves to meet the ominous intentions of ISIL terrorist group.

Last Words

Regarding its point of view in which its ideals are more valuable than people’s life, ISIL uses women like men to achieve its targets. We believe that using women as military forces and promoting sexual jihad concept reflect this aspect of ISIL. People who compulsorily live in the territory attacked and usurped by this so called Islamic state suffer from the worn-out rules of ISIL. Unfortunately, women are suffering more pains and oppression in this regard. Unreasonable rules on covering, mandatory female genital mutilation, curfew for women, etc. indicate how worn-out thoughts of ISIL are.
