“Hal Min Nasirin Yansorni?” – Is there any helper to help me? Dear readers, While extending our heart-felt condolence to you all on the anniversary of the heart-rending martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his faithful companions, we would like to request you, the justice-seeking sisters and brothers, to deeply reflect upon the question posed by Imam Hussein (AS) on the day of Ashura –the day of his martyrdom in the land of Karbala, Is there any helper to help me?. Really was that fateful question addressed just to the people around the Imam (AS) or was His Holiness addressing the upcoming generations and in fact the whole humanity asking them to rush to his help and struggle for the fulfillment of the sacred cause of guarding the Divine faith, Divine values and humane principles – righteous and justice? Certainly that exalted leader, that ever-lasting example of piety and manliness and that matchless symbol of adherence to justice and benevolence, Imam Hussein (AS) meant his Divinely-inspired words to reach the ears and penetrate the hearts of all men and women in any part of the world and at any period of time, so they would be revived, awakened and urged to stand up against evil, tyranny and corruption, to rise and fight those who oppress Allah’s creatures, who spread mischief and corruption on the earth and who aim at the elimination of Divine light and guidance His Holiness knew well if the oppressors and the corrupt are not opposed and stopped from their devilish acts, no room would be left for human life, no room for an atmosphere in which human being can breathe the air of peace and happiness and be elevated towards the sublime spiritual levels ordained for them by Allah – their Compassionate Creator. In fact, Imam Hussein (AS) taught the human beings not to let the others to enslave them, not to bow down before tyrants, not to turn blind eyes and deaf ears to the plight of the oppressed. Through his heroic fight and self-sacrifice, His Holiness conveyed to the world of humanity the lasting message that “Death in defense of the truth and justice is true happiness and life with the tyrants is but misery”. For one more illumination, please reflect upon the following Hadith from Imam Hussein (AS) “Truly people’s needs (referred) to you are of Allah’s blessings upon you, so do not get weary of the blessings.” Bihar-ul-Anwar V. 74 M.Salimi
